Features I Frequently Use on Word, Excel, and Power Point

Word:
Cut
Copy
Paste
Spell check
Bold
Italics
Insert: page number, picture, text box, boarder
Format: columns

Assignment for Word: Have students find a poem on line and copy and paste it on to word. Have them write a paragraph on why they like the poem and spell check it. Have them inset a clipart picture that goes with the poem and put a boarder around it. Format the poem into 2 columns and bold the heading.

Excel:

Assignment for Excel: Have students use excel to make a weekly class schedule.

Slide Show

Assignment for Power Point: Have students use Power Point to create a slide show about something they are interested in. They must have a background, animation, clip art, and at least 5 slides with transitions.
